Larodopa is used to treat Parkinson’s Disease, post encephalitic parkinsonism and symptomatic parkinsonism due to injury to the central nervous system by carbon monoxide poisoning. Side effects can include nausea and vomiting, dyskinesias, dystonic and other involuntary movements, chest pain, hypotension, diarrhea, dry mouth, muscle cramps, dizziness, increased somnolence, insomnia, headache and depression.
