Clorepin
Clobazam |
Clorepin is an active A/-desmethyl metabolite that is responsible for its antiepileptic characteristics. It has successfully been used as an intermittent anti-convulsive therapy for preventing febrile seizures. It also has advantages of easy oral intake, fast pharmacological action and transient side-effects. However, its drawbacks are noted when a convulsion is the primary symptom of a high temperature but that can be applicable to any intermittent diagnosis to febrile convulsions. |
