I'm not writing this to preach not to do drugs, trust me I've been there and i still am. Xanax is THE most addictive benzo. Before u know it ur tolerance goes from1mg pill to10 of them. Benzo withdrawal is also one of the only drug related withdrawals u can die from. All I'm saying is that kids r curious and when it comes down to itheyre gonna do what they want. If u have absoutllyno tolerance do 1-2 mg. You' Should be fine, just real tired..be. Be careful with shit it's more stronger addictive than u would believe
how many well it really depends on the person.some ppl i know can take 1 mg and be gone the rest of the night.on the other hand me my self i can take 4 mg at once an only get buzzed an i dont even take them that often,but i do have plenty exp. with this class of Rx.alway be careful though because you can build a tolerence quick an you can take to much with out even noticeing it.an please an i mean please do not mix this class of drugs with any pain killer.i seen to many people OD.my cousin being one of them.

Well if your new to it then just take a .75mg just to be sure. Then wait for about 1 hour. If you don\'t feel anything. Go ahead and take ONE 1mg xanax. That should definitely have you trippin mad balls.
I don\'t really feel anything on 0.5mg so wait half a hour then take another 0.5mg because it takes 20-30mins to kick in

yeah, pills are not good to snort, there are tiny barbs that are mixed in with all pills so that the meds can penetrate the stomach wall, so now imagine snorting those barbs almost instantly to your BLOOD STREAM. Those "barbs" are the reason people have cardiac arrest.... good luck!

Crush up two bars and snort them, and then take a laxative and you will trip mad balls for like 5 hours. There is a chemical mixture that is in all laxatives that helps multiply the feeling of xanies. Its like taking a perc 30, or more.
on saturday night i took 2 & a half "2mg" pills & i felt high. it makes you feel tipsy, somewhat drunk but with no hangover in the morning. i remembered 1/5th of my night & i woke up completely lost. make sure you have a safe place to do it at a friends house with no parents or something

If you take the right amount its gonna calm your ass down and make you feel like a zombie, take to much and you'll prolly pass out and sleep for hours and possibly awake in a hospital bed.. I took 7 .5mg while i was wasted back at someones flat, dont rember anything atall and woke up on the floor. i dont even rember what the feeling is like on them.
to answer your question dont go to high you dont want to over dose it all depends on your body weight . If you must take bars start off at 2 ml bars. You shouldnt start i was a stick head i was hooked on xanax bars you get addicted to the feeling of not having any anxity and no care in the world but soon you have to face reality. Its better off not to start .
Yeesh....anyone ever see the warning on Xanax (or alprazolam) that says not to drink Grapefruit juice or it will intensify the effect of the med? Why don't you guys try that....I myself take it with muscle relaxers, mood stabilizers, or hydrocodone. It feels fine then puts me to sleep. when i tried xanax my friend gave me 6 .5mg (3mg) pills. i took them all and wasnt really feeling anything after 45 minutes. we picked up some bud and after i took my first hit i could feel them and i was just gone.
well, i am on 2 Mg right now, i weigh 120lbs and i've been popping these pills for quite some time. so it dosent really get me high, it just makes me feel really really good. xanax (like most opiates) is really tricky, its kinda easy to O.D. and that usually means you will be blacked out for about 12 hours.

i took 2 and a half bars my first time (5mg) and to be honest i only remembered 1/5th of my night. for your first time i strongly suggest one bar which is 2mg or half of a bar. after about an hour if you don't feel anything, take the other half of the bar.

Almost everything said here is complety wrong xenax is a benzo not an opiate it is used to treat anxiety disorders it will not make u trip or anything just make you relax and in give you a drunk feeling because it is a depressent like alcohol. it can also cause memery loss and if u take a high does wich depends on your tolerce will make you pass out. That's it no tripping or crazy high just a relaxed drunk care free feeling. If you don't have any tolerance 1mg is enough more then a bar will just make u mad tired which isn't much fun. An you cannot snort xanex because it is not water soulabe best way to take it is simply by swollowing it or letting it dessolve under your tounge. I like to take 1mg to a bar an I have a high tolerence an drinkin a few beers. You just get a great drunk feeling without the sloppyness of just drinking alot

alrightt the best way to do it is with some adderall, if you have a free night of course. you'll be up all night, but you will be reall fucked up. just pop like 2 totem polls and a 20mg adderall and you'll be set. Of course it helps if your blazing on the chronic shit.

Yeah man i take 0.5mgs and it usually takes me 3 to get a bit high but takes forever to kick in like an hour sometimes so if its your first time i'd start by taking 1mg or 2 of the 0.5s and wait for awhile then if nothing happens maybe take one or two more. i tried xanax for the first time last night...i still have like 9mg left of the .25 ones. i took like 3mgs and passed out bout an hour later lol. but earlier in the day i was sippin on a full bottle of sizurp, even tho the effects had gone away long before i took the xanies. im about to try it again for the 2nd time at 3 36pm gonna see if it is anything worth doing again. i prefer opiates much more tho.

well i for one like drinking on xanax just beer its nice but u have to be really careful i would say if your drinking and not use to them just take 1mg i have taking too many while drinking and u won't remember nothing i woke up with some very ugly people on them so yeah be careful

i get them from the doctor and wanted to see what a few extra would do i find 1 mg will make u chilled and a bit drunk (feeling)i always find u get a nice relaxed time with 1mg i may go 2 mg but i dont think this drug is good for a high ,it just does its job and chills you out ,if your buying them for a high id go something else
well ppl this is the first time ive ever taken xanax (though ive messed with dizapam (valium) for a while but its been a month since i had any of that so its out of my system. its been 45 mins since taking them and i feel extremely relaxed (not real tired) and a little "carefree atm" slight euphoric effect (which is what i look for i dont like getting totally bombed) and this was after 1.5 mg im a male 6' even 150 pounds. so not sure if this info helps but it should give you a basic idea of what ammount to take. (though everyone varies and you may not get the same effect at this level) i would serisouly start out at about 1 mg for those with no tolorance and increase\decrease according to the way your body responds. also another effect im noticing here is i cant think as clearly and when typing im putting words in that i didnt mean to etc. so def dont handle heavy machine (cars etc included) until your aware of what effect this drug has on you and adjust accordingly. dont take every day tolorance to this drug is VERY VERY fast so dont do it often. and the first time is always best to try "alone" without mixing other drugs etc (cept maybe a joint though that can make u more tired and you should wait to do this until the benzo has already kicked in) and be around ppl you IMPLICITY trust for the first time or two (this goes more for women than men) as it seriously reduced inhibition and you might wake up in some place (bed) etc that u did not want to be in. so in summary BE CAREFUL who your around when you do it and dont start at more than 1-2 mg for your first use. for some this will just make u tired for others it will produce the proper effect u desire. and not sure if this effects the str of the drug or how it reacts but im on 20 MG methadone a day (for about a yr\yr and a half) the buzz im getting here is equal to taking about 20\30 mg of valium. and oh yes if you MUST drink on them dont do more than a couple beers ur first time the combo of doing too much of each can be fatal. example: my buddy took 40 mg methadone (which he can take fine if taking nothing else. and 3 mg xanax. and washed em down with a fifth of scotch.... he went to sleep and never woke up.... so PLZ PLZ PLZ for the love of god allah budda or whoever u praise be careful when combining drugs esp pain meds with this Rx.
and fyi the ones that snort H do so for one of two reason A: they're afraid of needles and\or messing up when injecting themselves. and B: they cant get their hands on the syringes (for whatever reason)

Listen, It all depends of your tolerance and body. Everyone acts differently to them. If you take enough it will make you feel tipsy or even drunk but that will only be temporary. Eventually you will just pass out. So if your going to insist on doing them make sure your dont have any plans for the next day because i assure you, you will be zonked out the next day or still asleep. But whatever you do do not drink while your on any benzo's that will surely blow your liver out! Well stay safe.
Take 1 mg... crush it up and put it in a shot of water. you feel it in 5 min and its the best way to use it recreationally. So if you get a bar, do it twice, 1/2 an hour apart. This will get you the high you want. does for me.

im on xanax for anxiety and panic attacks my doc gives me .25 which is the lowest dose that there is and i cant feel anything when i take them they are pointless but i buy the 1 mg off my friends i can take 1 mg and a half and feel pretty damn good the ppl on here saying they take 4 to 6 mg and even more and just fuckin crazy and lying
It all depends on your tolerance and everyones is not the same.I can take 10mg at once and get messed up.I once took 50mg of xanax at once and passed out for two days.I mix alcohol when I take them not recomended just to be clear.
for the past 2 years i have been trouble sleeping i wake up like 4 times a night. my doctor told me its just bad sleeping habits and she told me to stop taking any stimulants and stop working out in afternoon. its been a week now and i did all of that and still cant go to sleep without waking up i tend to think alot when i sleep is that an anxiety disorder or is it more of an insomnia personally i think my doctors is stupid and she dosnt know my true problem since you guys are talking about xanax i though you guys might have an idea

Bottom line is if u wanna get high of xanax, u must mix it with alcohol.And for the record xanax is pretty much one of the strogest benzos out their....xanax 1mg = 10 of valium or 7.75 of ativan. personally i prefer percocets or vicoden b/c they just gety u zoned out with no alcohol required.......but zannys just get u real mellow which turns to sleepiness after a couple of hours and when u wake up off of them u just feel so good layin in bed sort of like tylenol pm's

you know it really just does depend on the person. i can take one and feel it for sure but im content with the feeling and not over the top. if you're looking to get really leanin then take a bar and pop 2mg. then you're really having a good time
I am pro drug use and anti-drug abuse. With all benzo's (xanax) included; I have frequently had the experience of waking up the next day and not remembering virtually anything but taking my first couple of bars. I have recently made some very poor decisions under the influence of xanax. My problem is: I will buy like 10 bars; I'll start with 1 or 2 bars and then I will like how I am feeling so much that I will just keep on taking more and more until I wake up the next day; not remembering anything except for maybe taking my first 2 bars and all my xanax will be gone and people will be telling me all about things I did or said during the evening that I have no recollection of. I've experimented and used it all and benzo's are the one of the drugs that scare me the most because when you are heavily under the influence of them; I tend to do and say things that are out of character and will have no recollection of it the next day. If you're gonna use them...start small maybe 1-1.5 mg of xanax, don't mix with anything else and wait to see how you feel after about 35-45 minutes before taking more. I have even heard of people "hiding" their stash of xanax from THEMSELVES! This is so they don't "unconciously" take a bunch more than they should and not remember doing it. The last time I took xanax was July 29th 2010; I had bought 19 - 2 mg bars on July 28th and by July 29th I got in a smalll collsion, fled the scene of the crime and got into another head on collision down the street. I went to jail, totalled my Acura RL and I am still fighting the court cases from it. BOTTOM LINE: FORGET WHAT ALOT OF THESE PEOPLE SAY AND SERIOUSLY USE CAUTION WITH ALL BENZO'S (XANAX INCLUDED) people OD all the time from mixing benzo's with methadone and other substances. Went to school one day with at least FIFTEEN 2mg zanyz, my friend didnt bring me my bud so i snorted 2. then forgot about it next period and swallowed about 6 because i thought they were .5mg. Didn't remember a fucking thing the next day, it was like the day never happened. but someone said i was at the drinking fountain taking a handful of them, some partly crushed up just eating that shit up like candy. DUMBASS move, everyone told me that I scared the hell outta them cuz I couldnt talk right, couldnt pay attention and talked about things that made no sense. Tin foil is really bad for, fortunately they stopped making that years ago. Check all the foil boxes you want, they all say aluminum, which after years and years of using to smoke, can be hazardous to your health... idiot.

Take About 250mg of Azithromycin, 1 20 mg prednisone. 1mg bar of xany (xanax) Have a good night kids. Also if your feelin a touch sleepy pop in 10-20mg of addy (aderol) that'l wake ur ass up.
I take up to 3 2mg pills every 2 hours for 6 hours- nice high. It helps if you have xanax to take with them.

They will make you fucking crazy. You take 5 not enough, take a few more, then before you know it your fucked up and don't know it and take even more. Last time I took 19 blues and got a DUI apparently the 20th pill missed my mouth. The cops found it under my ass. That was one wild ass weekend in jail.

Some of these stories are true and some are completly false. You can't trip on xanax, second xanax is not an opiate. 3rd if you haven't tried it and your about to DON'T!!!! Its very addictive, it will make you thank your on top of the world, when in fact your starting a painfull spiral into becoming an addict. You guys are fucked up. My fried was taking around 20 bars everynight with valium to help him sleep after doing lots of addi and coke...and to top it all off he would be trashed. Now he has heart valve problems (which he calls his 'bum ticker') and he will most likely die within the next few months or years. He fell into the xanax hole and had to pick up smoking cigarettes to stop himself from taking them. Long story short: My friend who severely abused xanax bars with alcohol, addi, MDMA, coke, and valiums who is 19 years old will probably die before he reaches the age of 21...or so the doctors say. If I have to bury this kid, who has been one of my best friend since high school, I will cry and cry and cry because quiet frankly he doesn't care anymore and is ready to embrace death. This is my story. I took 1.5 mg's of Xanax. I don't remember a thing. I woke up with $15,000 in my pocket one day and to my surprise I was married to a Shaman from Brazil. All is well with us to this day however it has taken some time to adjust to the adornments on the walls consisting mostly of shrunken heads and zebra manes. hey to the dude that stole them from your grandma, are they bars? If so they are 2mg and if you have never taken any i would suggest maybe taking 3/4 of a bar if you want a good high that wont be noticeable to anyone else. Now if you are by yourself and want to get fucked up then take a whole bar and maybe a quarter of another one. Just DO NOT drink any alcohol bcuz the 2 drugs intensify each other and you will have a memory blackout and do something stupid and not even remember it. But you will be fine taking half or 3/4 of a bar.
If any of you all really lookin to trip balls then you need to try something called triple c's. Just buy a box of Coricidin and make sure it says cough and cold on it, its not even behind the counter! Anyway take 8 of them your first time and in a little over an hour you will be hit by a wall. The drug is called dextromethorphan and is a cough supressant. You could chug a bottle of robitussin but its more convenient to take the pills plus you get the exact amount needed. Remember it is called CORICIDIN and make sure you get the purple box that says cough and cold. just pop 8 of those and you will be gone within an hour or 2 and it lasts for about 6 hours. Weed also intensifies it and can even bring the high back after you have come down on it. It is the most intense high you will ever feel believe me.
wow idiots. first off yes you can snort xanax. Secondly do not start taking them unless prescribed to you for legitimate illness's. It works good for anxiety and panic because that is what it was intended for in the benzodiazapine tier. Valium is a benzo also but commonly prescribed as a muscle relaxer more so than as a anti anxiety med. If you dont have a high tolerance to benzo's 1 mg will make you very sleepy. I have heard many things from people taking 40+ and we end up calling a bus for them or people who say they feel like they are on cocaine when taking it. Each person differ's greatly. My advice DO NOT head down that dark road, unless you wanna end up addicted, in jail or dead.

(I have been falling apart lately - unable to work) Questions is - I got a refill tonight for the meds and took 25 2 mg pills - so total 50 mgs. I don't feel ay different. I thought I would have some high/calming type off feeling or something. I was hoping maybe it would lead to taking the rest of the bottle but 150 2 mg xanax won't kill ya will it? I am astonished at most everyone's comments here. I fell upon this site in hopes of finding out information because my boyfriend and my brother died from an Xanax overdose. They were just trying to get high and now they are both dead. Do you all even realize what you are doing to your bodies, let alone the lives of the people who are around you. Xanax if a very serious benzo, that is extremely hazardous if not taken as prescribed. Are any of you doctors? Do any of you carry a license to give does information. My now deceased boyfriend had been taking Xanax for years and nothing ever happened to him until a few months ago when he took 30 1mg Xanax. eventually he fell asleep and he never woke up. His central nervous system had been compromised so much because of the anti-depressant that his brain stopped telling his lungs to breath. As for my brother it was the same night and my boyfriend had talked my brother into trying it just one time. He told him that it was the best high he would ever get. So he did it, he started out with just 3 of the 1mg Xanax. He was fine for a while until he fell to the ground because he was having a seizure. The doctors said that he developed a brain bleed because of the Xanax and that was why he died. Do you all not understand that you could die from this. Maybe not the first time or the tenth or even the 100th but it could happen; and maybe you will could be lucky and not have a fatal outcome but you are giving someone else advice on how to potentially kill themselves. I know this is all anonymous posting but if that person died or ended up with some kind of serious medical problem it could be you to blame for it because you told him/her how to take the drug. I'm not perfect but there are so many other ways to get high if that is what you all are seeking; go smoke, or drink, but don't mess around with prescription medication, it could kill you. Not to mention the affects that it can leave on your family and friends...even just being high from Xanax can have a lasting affect on them. I got on this website seeking answers. Instead I get unbelievable ways to get high or die. My guess is that the average age on here is teenage, 20's, and 30's. Hopefully by your 40's you've found out that Xanax is a killer and mixed with God knows what anything can happen. Drugs are for fools and it sounds like we've got of fools on this site. Too bad. Some of you will make your way out of addiction and some will die because you don't have the good sense to see your way out. I have been there, done that and worse. I once took 7 bars (2mg) in the course of about 6 hours; was in a Rock Band; only thing that kept me up was the Red Bull's I was drinking. This was at the height of my "problem" which I didn't really even think was a problem until one night (it had been about 7 days since I'd had any Xanax), my heart starts feeling like it's pounding out of my chest; I have cold sweats, flu-like symptoms, hot and cold flashes, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea all at the same time. it felt like an elephant was sitting on my back and chest at the same time; my throat was stopping up; I could not swallow; felt like I could not breathe. This was apparently a panic attack that lasted for hours until I finally had to come clean and tell my wife to call the Ambulance. Needless to say, this was friggin' embarrassing. When the ambulance arrived, (to my surprise) my heart rate and blood pressure was fine. They just sat there and looked at me as if I was some dope head. I had to suffer through the worst anxiety of my life for days apparently caused by Xanax withdrawal. After doing tons of research on Xanax Withdrawal, I have found that you have to taper off of this drug slowly. LET ME TELL YOU PEOPLE: Xanax is the hardest drug to get off of and you won't know you have a problem with it until you experience an episode like mine above. I am finally over the hump and have tapered way down. With the help of Valium (a slower acting Benzo), and lots of strenuous Cardio and exercise, I have been able to ween myself off of Xanax and I finally feel NORMAL again. You people who are snorting this drug (you are friggin' STUPID!). This is not Cocaine or Meth. It is meant to be taken orally. You are only going to mess your nose and your brain up permanently by snorting these. If this is your first time - Let me tell you...take a bar or two, give it 30 minutes... you are going to be &&**& UP! Trust me. No need to mix it with alcohol. These things work fine just by themselves.

I have been addicted to Xanax now for over 5 years..I am prescribed the 1mg ones..I take it for my OCD & anxiety...but I would not mix these with any other kind of narcotic bc of all the overdoses. I have been there & watched many of my friends & family members OD. Just take it as prescribed to you!---but if you do take more b/c u think they are not working you could take another one but I am not a doctor...So I guess if you want to get high thats all on you. But I kno that this drug has been so hard for me to get off of! Also when I don't have any it is the worst feeling of withdawl. you shake,can't eat, sleep, and just dont feel like yourself! Shit if I were to take just one of these it would stop my heart and I would die. I also take methadone everyday due to my past OxyContin addiction, and methadone, and barbituates don't mix at all and could kill me dead. But before I was on methadone the first time I ever did Xanies, I took 8 bars and almost killed myself then too(not purposely of course). But I woke up 3 days later in another state with no recollection of what happenend, so in my opinion stay away from them.

Peak drug time is two hours. If you do not feel anything within the first hour, increase the dose by another .50mgs. If you are just starting Xanax and want to "play" with it, watch what you play with. It is highly addictive and Benzos are horrible to withdraw from. You can actually die from benzo withdraw. I took 4mgs once at 2p.m. and stayed up until midnight. My tolerance level is high, because of the other drugs I do. But let me tell you this, I DO NOT FUCK WITH BENZOS. I do not want to become addicted to them. If you want a good high get some really good kush, roll a blunt and smoke it, and snort 20mgs of Oxy. There ya go.

Hey, I just want to point this all out to all of you fucking retards out there : IT IS NOT COOL TO BRAG ABOUT TAKING -- AMOUNTS OF XANAX. First of all, Xanax is a benzo. It calms you down, and it is mostly prescribed for PANIC ATTACKS. Alright? People who generally have those feel like they were shot with adrenaline in their chest and their heart feels like its going to explode and/or feels like they are on the verge of having a heart attack. There are many other freaking problems that associate with panic attacks but to make this short, people feel like theyre about to die and their body feels like its going in shock. I know first hand because I occasionally get them. I'm not going to lie before I was finally prescribed xanax (0.25) someone used to give me 1mg whenever I desperately needed one. BUT I rarely ever took advantage of the help I was given. I didn't take the free xanax I was rarely given too often, because when I was prescribed that small amount 1 pill did the job. Sometimes I had to take two when I'd smoke weed and it would get worse..but thats like 0.5 so its not even a large amount... You cant mess around with xanax. I know how it feels to mix it with weed, and other times with alcohol. But at the end of the day you need to realize it is HIGHLY addictive if you don't take it as it is intended for. It FUCKS with your brain, do you get that? It messes up your brain and makes it feel like you have a chemical imbalance (depending on how heavily you rely on this drug) No, I am not a doctor. I am a 28 year old male from Boston. I've been addicted to zannies and benzos for 7 years. My best advice is to try and stay away from bars. I still do them and I tour so much with my band that I don't have time to get help. To be honest I don't want help anymore. Bars is a benzo meaning not opiate lol. If your tolerance is low or if you havnt taken xanax before 1 mg will be good. If you have a high tolerance like me you xan take as many as you want but know your limits. If you mix with alcohol it will definitely increase the effects. And if you take opiates with zanax like percocet or Vicodin you'll get a good buzz. But don't take to much you may pass out and be sleeping for the rest of time. Just be careful. I just took 4mg of xanax and 40mg of vicodin, n know ill be fine. Ill definitely be floatin though!!

Depends on the person I used to take 2mg every morningand night for anxiety and depression I was also on lexapro and many other SSRIs which suck haha but now I do Xanax recreationally I can take about 6mg(2 green bars) (or 3 yellow bars) and be pretty high the most I've taken in a night is 12 mg but drive k on anything more then 2mg and have fun blacking out and making a fool of yourself :)

Xanax will NOT get you high. I have several bottles as prescription around my house, I have intense anxiety and still won't even bother with them. They are the equivalent to taking a sleeping pill. SO not worth it.
