| My stepson has been on Keppra for quite some time now. He was at a much lower weight when he started. The Keppra really seems to work. As his weight increases a bit, he has a seizure. The doctor goes up on his mg. level, then he is fine for a while. He is at 5000mg. at this time. He has put on about 15 more pounds and he had another seizure. Does weight have anything to do with this? On this med, when he was maintaining the same wieght for a year or so, he had no seizures. At some point, Keppra must have a level that just does not matter how much you take right? It seems odd to me that every time the scale tips about 15 to 20 more pounds, he has a seizure. We have told him time and time again that he has to loose weight? What do you think is the problem? |
