I started taking this drug about 3 weeks ago, 40 mg at first, then 80 mg per day after about a week. I took both 40 mg tablets in the morning instead of one in the morning and one in the evening. It was easier for me to remember. DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME FOLKS!!! The side effect has been influenza for about two weeks now. I haven't been able to keep food in my system and have lost
6-7 lbs thus far. I will now start taking them as instructed by my physician.
What a fool I've been. Good Luck! |

I take 80 mgs a day, and my doctor suggested one in the morning adn one in the evening with no noticable change between 40 mg, but started taking both in the AM it seems to have my gerd in check. I\'ve had no influenza side effect. Again, everyone is different.
I have been taking two Prevacid at night for the past two years and have not had a problem. It has really helped my GERD. I don\'t think this was the cause of your flu. It could have just upset your stomach. Maybe your immune system was low and the flu was going to come out anyway. Just a thought though. I am, however, going to try to wean myself off because I think it has contributed to my weight gain. |
