Colecalciferol (Dekristol) side effects occur as consequences of overdose. Hypercalcaemia (high levels of calcium in the blood) may occur with symptoms of arrythmia, nausea, vomiting, impaired consciousness, psychological symptoms, appetite loss, weight loss, increased desire to urinate, increased thirst, kidney stone formation, renal calcification or calcification in tissues. Dekristol also contains arachis (peanut) oil which may be cause allergy to some patients.
