Yes, a prenatal DNA test can be administered by a professional using a sample of amniotic fluid or chorionic villi sample (a sample of the placenta or fetus the fetus taken between the 10th and 24th week of pregnancy). In either case, the sample can be extracted while the mother is pregnant by a qualified medical practitioner.
