Dacortin (prednisone) is a corticosteroid that has antiinflammatory effects against conditions such as arthritis, allergic disorders, ulcerative colitis, skin conditions, lupus or respiratory disorders.

Since you are complaining about pain, it is wise to seek consult with your doctor for the best possible diagnosis for the cause of your pain and its treatment.
