Is Allerta Tablet Tab Safe for a Breastfeeding Mom?

i have skin allergies and i got these after i gave birth to my daughter. i have tried different medications and as of now i am using candibec cream. i apply this on the affected area twice a day. the allergies subside but they come back again whenever i eat seafoods, when i am sweating  or whenever my hair sways on my face. i want to totally cure my allergies. i am a breastfeeding mother and i want to know if it's safe for me and my nine months old baby to take allerta?

Yes, Allerta (Loratadine) tablet is safe to use. Because of its lack of sedation and low milk levels, maternal use of loratadine would not be expected to cause any adverse effects in breastfed infants. Just a reminder, loratadine might have a negative effect on lactation, especially in combination with agent such as pseudoephedrine. It is recommended that loratadine should be at its lowest dose as a preferred choice of an antihistamine is required during breastfeeding.
