Could My Baby Have Asthma Already?

0 votes
I have a 6 month old daughter who was diagnosed with RSV and had to spend a few days in hospital. She was discharged after 3 days and the doctor prescribed Albuterol and a nebulizer machine. After the RSV, she developed wheezing, raspy breathing and a bad cough. Her lungs sound as if they are rattling. Her pediatrician considers this normal for an infant who is in the recovery stage of RSV. He says there’s nothing more to be done. He recommends continuing the nebulization treatments and also predicts that she might have asthma later on. I wonder if she already has it. Should I go for a second opinion? If so, should I see a pulmonary specialist? Please do advice.
