What Kind of Cough Is My Son Experiencing?

I have a three and a half year old son who has acute asthma and currently suffering from a sinus infection also. He was found to be asthmatic when he was one and a half years old and now he has been prescribed Flovent, 220, Singulair and Albuterol or Xopenex as and when needed. He was found to have this infection prior to Christmas through a scan and the Pulmonologist stated that the infection had spread to all places. It was found that each and every sinus in my son’s head was infected. He was on Amox while he was diagnosed and so his doctor told us to make his ten day course a twenty one day course of medicines. He was a bit better, but when his course of drugs was over, the problem reared up with full force. We were asked to consult a pediatric ENT who prescribed Omnicef for three weeks. He also told us that if this treatment did not prove to be effective, his adenoids would have to be removed. We find that this drug is in the least bit effective and actually, his condition has taken a turn for the worse. We feel that he has developed pneumonia even though he does not have any wheezing as he is totally congested. I cannot make out whether his cough is an asthma cough or not. So on the whole we are at the end of the tunnel and do not know what is to be done. I would be extremely grateful if someone could provide some advice for this problem as soon as possible. Please do get in touch with us if you can help me in any way possible and help my little baby in any way.
