Hormones are natural chemical substances produced naturally by the body. They act as chemical messengers that intervene in multiple vital processes. Only a few were left to alter some metabolism. Hence, an excessive amount of hormone may result to unbalance which can turn a life into nightmare and most commonly visible in menopause.
Needless to say, during menopause, the natural production of hormones gets upset as body ceases to prepare itself for conception. In line with this, reproductive hormones, such as estrogens, progesterone and testosterone, are inadequately produced. This further leads to inconveniences, discomfort, annoying menopausal symptoms and others. To counter these problems, hormonal therapy is advised but still remains as option.
Bioidentical hormones are hormones that were extracted from either nature or were just laboratory synthesized, that were designed to exactly match with body’s natural hormones. There are some advantages as much as disadvantages, which need extra care and attention from respective health professionals.
